What is the role of a Regional Certifying Body (RCB)?
Regional Certifying Body (RCB) provides advice on Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (SESR) (Subclass 494 Visa) applications for the Employer Sponsored stream. They must be approved by the Department of Home Affairs and located in the same state as the nominated position.
Who is the RCB for Western Australia (WA)?
The Department of Training and Workforce Development, through Western Australia (WA) Migration Services, is the approved Home Affairs RCB for all of WA, except for the Goldfields-Esperance region, which applies to Regional Development Australia for RCB advice.
What are the requirements for RCB advice?
To receive RCB advice, applications must demonstrate the following criteria:
Salary Requirement: The identified person must be paid at least the nominated occupation's annual market salary rate (AMSR).
Occupation Listing: The nominated occupation must be listed on the Regional Occupation List (ROL).
What is the current processing time for RCB advice?
The current processing time for applications is 20 working days.
How do I apply for RCB advice?
Step 1: Review the SESR Checklist
Review the SESR checklist for assessment to prepare the necessary information and documents for your application.
Step 2: Prepare Your Documents
Ensure all documents are high-quality colour copies of the originals.
Upload the required supporting documents specified in the SESR checklist when lodging your application.
Step 3: Lodge Your Application
Complete the application for RCB advice through the specified submission platform.
Submit supporting documents, including:
Details of the nomination
Employment contract/offer
Additional evidence
Make payment for the AUD 200 application fee.
Step 4: Application Assessment and Notification
WA Migration Services may request further information to support your application assessment.
Once the assessment is complete, you will receive an email with the RCB advice and your signed Form 1404, which is necessary for nominating your skilled worker with the Department of Home Affairs.
Step 5: Continue the Nomination Process
Once your nomination is approved, your skilled worker can lodge their visa application.
