UPDATE: State Nominated (subclass 190) & Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491) Visa Allocations 2023-2024

Wondering about the state nomination visa allocations for 2023-2024? The recent migration update has led to a significant change for state nominated visas. These changes could have a direct impact on skilled applicants' opportunities to achieve their Australian dream.

What are the State and Territory Nominated Visa Categories?

There are multiple visa categories for skilled individuals, however, we will be covering these two prominent pathways:

What are the Nomination Allocations for the Skilled Visa Categories?

Each state and territory are assigned a number of nomination allocations to determine the number of applicants they can nominate within a specific program year. These nomination updates only apply exclusively to the two mentioned visa categories. However, it is essential to understand that these numbers do not represent the total count of visa applicants.

The specifics of the 2023–24 state and territory nomination allocations:

Note: Unfortunately, there are no new allocations for the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) to date.

Given the above reflects a decrease in the allocations in the previous program year, it is expected that demand will exceed supply. We encourage individuals to get their EOIs in early to avoid disappointment.
