What Are the Goldfields, WA Agreement?
The Goldfields DAMA is a 5-year employer-sponsored visa program that cultivates a partnership between local businesses and the Australian government to find suitable skilled workers to address labour shortages in the specific region.
The Goldfields DAMA includes the following, and the postcodes are representative of the main towns and communities within each shire and not limited to:

The applicant must live and work in the designated area mentioned above once sponsored under the labour agreement pathway.
Businesses who wish to employ and sponsor through labour agreements for skilled workers:
It allows the employer to obtain a 5-year valid labour agreement. This gives pre-approval for skilled and semi-skilled occupations.
The business must have no adverse information.
Employers will first need to apply to the Designated Area Representative (DAR) for endorsement before requesting a labour agreement. This is through the City of Kalgoorie-Boulder as the Goldfields DAR.
The endorsement of occupations and the number of positions to be filled is valid for 1 year. The labour agreement can be varied if the business’s needs change (e.g., adding additional occupations or increasing the number of nominations).
There is a processing fee per nomination of AUD 259 (GST inclusive).
Ensure that the Labour Market Testing (LMT) has been conducted for a minimum of 28 days.
The Goldfields DAMA occupation list includes about 145 occupations. In April 2024, the Goldfields DAMA has added 20 new occupations, which includes:
Bar Attendant (Supervisor, Equivalent to ANZSCO Skill Level 4),
Barista,
Cook,
Delivery Driver,
Earth Moving Plant Operator,
Enrolled Nurse,
Hotel Or Motel Manager,
Hotel Service Manager,
Loader Operator,
Mixed Crop Farmer,
Motor Mechanic (General),
Pastrycook,
Registered Nurse (Aged Care),
Registered Nurse (Medical),
Retail Manager (General),
Retail Supervisor,
Scaffolder,
Truck Driver (General),
Waiter,
Waiter (Supervisor, Equivalent to ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
Some concessions for the Goldfields DAMA that have been agreed on require application and can be requested in the application.
The Goldfields DAMA has access to 6 occupations that are not included in the Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL). These are:
Asphalt Technician
Process Technician
Rope Access Technician
Sound and Light Technician
Bar Attendant Supervisor
Waiter Supervisor
English concession for some occupations.
CSIT (previously known as TSMIT) concession is available for some occupations.
Age concession for SESR (SC 494) and ENS (SC 186) visas:
Applicants up to 55 years old can apply for occupations with Skill Level 1 - 4.
Applicants up to 50 years old can apply for occupations with Skill Level 5.
A permanent Residence (PR) pathway may be available through an ENS (SC 186) visa.
