Change to the Partner Visa Sponsorship Form
A minor change has been found in the online partner visa sponsorship application form. Sponsors for Partner visa are now required to declare:
That they have read and understood the information about reducing violence in the community; and
They consent to the Department disclosing convictions to the applicant(s).
In the past, the Department will deal with the Sponsor directly in relation to the sponsorship application and the required police clearance(s) for the approval. This declaration now means that the Department may disclose to the visa applicant any conviction(s) which may constitute adverse information.
