Far North Queensland DAMA - March 2025 Update
There has been an update with the Minister for the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) and the Far North Queensland (FNQ) DAMA Deed of Variation. The Minister has signed the FNQ Deed of Variation, this includes:
A 2-year extension to the FNQ DAMA head agreement to 3 April 2027.
An additional 51 new occupations.
Application of English concessions to some new and selected existing occupations.
Application of 10% TSMIT/CSIT concessions to many new and selected existing occupations.
An increase in the number of positions available per year to meet the growth in demand.
DoHA is currently drafting the new varied FNQ DAMA Head Agreement. Once completed, it should be signed promptly, and then the abovementioned changes will take effect.
