Important Update: Salary Threshold (CSIT & SSIT) to Increase by 1 July 2025

As part of the ongoing adjustment to Australia’s skilled migration framework, significant changes to salary threshold, Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT) and Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT) have been announced and set to take effect on 1 July 2025. This is important for employers who are planning to sponsor their employees under the Skills in Demand Visa (SID) (Subclass 482) and Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (Subclass 186) visa

What are the Changes for Salary Threshold?

This adjustment ensures that skilled workers are paid competitive salaries that align with market standards. You can read the article here on employee workplace rights and entitlement

Applications lodged before 30 June 2025 will be assessed under the current CSIT and SSIT. This gives employers a window of opportunity to secure nominations under the current salary threshold before the increases take effect.
