News Update: New Occupations for Training Visa (Subclass 407)

. The Migration (LIN 19/050: Specification of Occupations—Subclass 407 Visa) Instrument 2019 commences on 11 March 2019, where specified occupations have been added or removed to the following occupation lists, namely:

·      The Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL);

·      The Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL); and

·      The Regional Occupation List (ROL).

The main goal of instrument is to update the occupations included in the skilled occupations lists for the purposes of paragraph 2.72B(3)(b) of the Migration Regulations 1994. to reflect the current skill shortage in the Australian labour market and how overseas skilled employer could help in addressing such shortages.

The following changes have been made to the current occupation lists listed above

The following 6 occupations are moved from STSOL to MLTSSL:
