The Subclass 408 visa is a temporary activity visa that allows applicants to work in Australia or to participate in projects and activities on a temporary basis.
A new stream of the subclass 408 visa is in effect for those who are unable to depart Australia and also to address workforce shortages rising in critical sectors as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On 3rd April 2020, the Australian government introduced a new visa option in light of the coronavirus pandemic. This visa is called a Temporary Activity visa (subclass 408).
