Former AAT’s Processing Times – Guideline for Administrative Review Tribunal (ART)

We have received a lot of enquiries, and our clients are asking how long it will take for the ART process to handle their appeal matters. As of today, we do not have the current Administrative Review Tribunal (ART)’s processing times.

So, the best way to understand the ART processing time for each visa category is to look back at the former Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) processing times for visa appeal reviews. The latest statistics were published for the completion times for various visa categories from 14 April 2024 to 13 October 2024. We can use these numbers as a guideline so applicants can expect wait times while awaiting decisions on their cases.

It is important to note that these numbers do not include cases where the AAT found the case did not have any jurisdiction to review the decision or cases that were withdrawn, which typically concluded much quicker.
