What is the Current Queue Release date for the Parent Visa?
As of 28 February 2025, the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) has released the following applications for final processing:
Parent Visa (Subclass 103): Queued up to December 2012
Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 143): Lodged/queued up to February 2018
Contributory Parent (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 173): Lodged/queued up to February 2018
Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 804): Queued up to January 2013
Contributory Aged Parent Visa (Subclass 864): Lodged/queued up to February 2018
Contributory Aged Parent (Temporary) (Subclass 884): Lodged/queued up to February 2018
What are the Current Processing Times for the Parent Visa?
Processing times for Parent visas can be lengthy due to the capped number of visas available each year. As of early 2025, the processing times for:
Contributory Parent visas are estimated at 14 years
Parent and Aged Parent visas are estimated at 31 years
Sponsored Parent (Subclass 870) visa application is average at 8 months
