Contributory Parent, Parent and Other Family Visa Caps 2024-25
The Department of Home Affairs have determined the maximum number of contributory visas, parent visas and other family visas that can be granted during the 2024-2025 financial year between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025.
What are the current 2024-2025 Visa Caps for Parent and Family Visas?
This will commence on 15 March 2025, and it will self-repeal on 1 July 2025, as it is for the 2024-2025 financial year. The maximum numbers of visas that can be granted for the 2024-2025 financial year are the following:
Contributory Parent
For the financial year 2024-2025, the maximum number of Contributory Parent visas will be 6,800, as listed below. This also includes 112 Contributory Parent (Subclass 143) visas under the pathway to Permanent Residence for Retirees (Retiree Pathway), which was introduced in 2018.
Parent Visas
Up to 1,700 parent visas can be granted until 30 June 2025 in the category listed below. This includes 13 Parent visas (Subclass 103) under the Retiree Pathway.
Other Family Visas
The other family visas have only 500 visas that can be granted until the end of the 2024-2025 financial year. These visas include the following:
